COVID-19 UPDATE

Following the government’s recent announcements regarding the national effort to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19 it is with regret that we will be closing The New Northumbria Hotel until further notice. All future bookings are therefore cancelled and any functions planned are postponed for the foreseeable future until circumstances allow for our reopening. We deeply apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause, however you will appreciate that we all have a part to play in ensuring the safety and welfare of our staff and customers.

All customer payments already made will be refunded or can be transferred to a rescheduled date. If you have a refund enquiry, please send an email to info@thenewnorthumbriahotel.co.uk and we will reply at the earliest opportunity. During this period please bear in mind that if you email, phone or message the site we may not be able respond in our usual timely manner.

For any third party bookings, please contact your booking provider directly who in turn will advise you of the changes to their terms and be able to assist you with your booking.

We are sure you will appreciate that this is an extremely difficult and upsetting time for our staff and we will be working closely with them over the course of these next few weeks and months to support them. We plan to use this period of closure to reflect, come back stronger than ever and ensure we support each other and our community.

As the situation develops and circumstances change we will keep you informed through our social media channels and you can also continue to view our updates on our website.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for your continued support and understanding and to our amazing team for their incredible hard work and dedication. We are incredibly proud of how our staff have dealt with this unprecedented challenge, and we cannot thank you, our loyal and regular customers enough for the support you have shown us with your continued visits and uplifting messages and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
